OUR MISSION
With a firm belief that there is no better chemist than Mother Nature, Entropy Resins strives to develop materials that strike a perfect balance between performance and environmental sustainability. Our bioderived epoxy solutions allow for strong and durable composites and coatings, while lowering petroleum content and replacing it with a sustainable, renewable resource. There are no compromises. Entropy Resins offer performance, sustainability, and lower environmental impact.
Our Core Team
Rey Banatao, PhD – Polymer Chemistry
With over 15 years R&D experience in biochemistry, Rey leads the sourcing and development of our bio-based materials for Entropy Resins. Most recently he was a NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at the California Nanosystems Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles. He holds a BA in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and a PhD in Computational Biology from the University of California, San Francisco.
Desi Banatao, MSE – Engineering
With experience in both industry and research, Desi leads applications engineering and materials design for Entropy Resins. His experience includes developing and commercializing new material systems ranging from semiconductors to composites. He has held positions at IBM and Inphi Corp, and holds a BS and MS in Material Science and Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
